Atlanta's trusted diamond buyer
Know what your diamond is really worth.
Most people only sell a diamond once, so the hardest part is knowing whether the number in front of you is fair. The Gold ATM buys diamonds in Atlanta from two private offices, Wildwood in Cobb County and Buckhead at Lenox. Our gemologists appraise every stone in front of you and explain exactly how the offer was reached, whether it is a single loose diamond, an inherited piece, or an engagement ring you are ready to move on from.
We buy certified and uncertified stones of every shape, size and condition, set or loose. You will get a detailed appraisal, a real market based offer the same day, and absolutely no pressure to accept it. If you would rather keep the piece, ask about a secured loan against your diamond instead.
Two ways to unlock its value
Sell it, or borrow against it.
Sell your diamond for cash
Hand over the stone or the piece and walk out paid. Best when you are ready to part with it and want full value today.
- Free appraisal by an expert gemologist
- Offer made on the spot, same visit
- Loose stones or diamonds still in the setting
- Certified and uncertified diamonds welcome
Take a loan against your diamond
Use the diamond as collateral for a short term cash loan. The piece is held securely and returned to you once the loan is repaid.

- Cash in hand without selling
- Clear terms explained up front
- Fully insured, secure storage

The honest answer
How much is my diamond worth?
Any buyer who quotes a flat percentage before seeing the stone is guessing. A diamond's value comes from its own grading, not from what the ring cost at retail, and the setting is valued separately from the center stone. Our gemologists grade your diamond against the four criteria the GIA established, then price it against live market demand for that exact combination.
Cut
Cut determines brilliance. The better a diamond is cut, the more light it returns, and the more it is worth.
Color
Color grade measures the absence of color. The more colorless the stone, the higher the grade it receives.
Clarity
Nearly every diamond has tiny inclusions. Stones with few or none carry the highest clarity grades.
Carat
Carat is a measure of weight, not size. Price per carat climbs sharply at each major weight threshold.
Shape
Round, princess, oval, emerald and the rest each trade differently. Demand for the shape moves the number.
A GIA or other lab grading report helps, but it is not required. If your stone has never been certified we will grade it for you during the appraisal.
More than one offer
A national diamond buying network.
The Gold ATM is part of a national network of diamond buyers. Once your stone is graded, we send its specs out to buyers across the country and bring the responses back to you while you wait. That means you are not comparing our number against nothing. You see several offers side by side and choose the strongest one, in the same appointment.

Good questions
Selling your diamond, answered.
Where can I sell my diamond near me in Atlanta?
You can sell your diamond in person at either of our Atlanta offices, Wildwood in Cobb County or Buckhead at Lenox. Both are private, secure high rise offices and both offer free appraisals. Book online or call and you can often be seen the same day. Walk ins are welcome during business hours.
How much is my diamond worth?
It comes down to the cut, color, clarity and carat weight of the stone, its shape, the condition of the setting, and current demand for that exact combination. Retail price is not a reliable guide, because it included the jeweler's markup. We grade your diamond in front of you and show you how the offer was built.
Do you buy engagement rings?
Yes. Engagement rings are one of the most common pieces we see, whether the reason is a divorce, an upgrade, or an inherited ring nobody wears. The center stone and the setting are appraised separately, and the appointment stays completely private.
Do I need a GIA certificate to sell my diamond?
No. A grading report from the GIA or another lab is helpful and can speed things up, but it is not required. If your stone has never been certified, our gemologists will grade it during your free appraisal and explain each grade as they go.
Will you buy a loose diamond, or does it have to be in a setting?
Either. We buy loose stones, diamonds still mounted in rings, pendants and bracelets, small melee parcels, and diamonds set in broken or damaged jewelry. You do not need to have anything removed before you come in.
What is the difference between selling my diamond and taking a loan against it?
Selling means you hand over the piece and walk out with cash for good. A loan means your diamond is held as secure, insured collateral for a short term cash advance and returned to you once the loan is repaid, so you keep ownership. You can read the terms on our secured loan page, or ask us to walk you through both at the appointment.
Do I have to sell once I get an offer?
No. The appraisal is free and the offer carries no obligation. You are welcome to take our number, compare it elsewhere in Atlanta, and come back. We would rather you leave confident than rushed.
What should I bring to my appointment?
Bring the diamond or the piece of jewelry, any grading report or appraisal paperwork you have, and a valid driver's license for identification. If you accept an offer, you are paid immediately.
